Hemerocallis 'Early Snow'

Common Name: Daylily

Representing an incredible advancement in near-white daylilies, the blossoms of ‘Early Snow’ are “supremely beautiful and flawless” in the opinion of daylily expert Arthur Kroll. We agree!

Gigantic 7” flowers of incredible substance are rich cream with a glowing yellow-green throat.  The ruffled, shimmering diamond dusted petals open wide and flat, making the flowers appear even larger.

Thick, 4-5 way branched scapes carry the fragrant blossoms in early summer and then again later in the season.

Dormant tetraploid.

Daylilies can survive many harsh conditions that other plants cannot including: polluted city environments, slopes, poor and dry soils, near pavement that is salted in winter, and under Black Walnut trees (not affected by juglone).

Characteristics (Compared to Other Daylilies)

  • Early Bloomer, blooming in June.
  • Rebloomer, producing a second set of flowers.
  • Fragrant flowers.
  • Dormant foliage.
  • Tetraploid with 44 chromosomes, twice as many as Diploids. Tetraploids tend to be bigger, stronger plants.
